Mahalo!

Also, PLEASE visit the SITE of the Sailors' Memorial, The Lone Sailor, commissioned in 2002, at Vista Point, "on watch" and overlooking San Fancisco Bay. The Memorial is dedicated to the personnel of all four services who went out the Golden Gate heading to the South Pacific during World War II...some 4,500,000 Navy men alone, many of whom would not return. Thousands stopped at PalmyraAtoll to practice assault landings, refuel, for R&R, and resupply.

For current weather you may check with http://www.tuvalu.tv for a full report on the South Pacific region.
